Admission Procedure

Atmiya Vidya Mandir is pleased to announce the opening of admissions for the Academic Year 2012-13.

We are welcoming new admission inquiries for Std 1 to 7. Please note that we have limited spaces available in standards 4 to 7.

The procedure for admissions is outlined below and will be strictly followed.

For NRI admissions, please go to nri-admissions.avm.edu.in to fill a pre-admission form.

Admissions are closed for standards 8 and 9 as we are at capacity at present. Opening of admissions to standard 11, both Science and Commerce streams will be announced at a later date.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE (2012-13)

  1. Admission proceedings will take place ONLY during the published dates and times below.

  2. Parents who seek admission for their ward(s) shall have to collect an admission kit from the school office.

  3. On procuring the admission kit, the parents together with the ward will be taken for a school visit.

  4. After the visit, the parents can submit the admission form and register for evaluation either on the same day or at a later date according to the published dates/timings given below.

  5. Once the admission form is filled, depending on the choice of date/timing, an evaluation of the child will be conducted.

  6. The result of evaluation will be declared as per details given further below. 

  7. The parent(s) will also have the choice to download a copy of the admission form from here and fill, print and submit a signed copy of the same at the time of registration for evaluation.

Note:

  1. School visits and/or evaluation shall NOT be carried out at any other dates or time other than those stated above.
  2. The evaluation and school visit may be conducted with prior appointment only under special circumstances. For appointment please call on 02621-305900, between 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday.


Details of the Evaluation:

The evaluation will take approximately 90 minutes and will consist of concepts learnt in English and Mathematics in the CBSE system in the grade previous to the grade for which the admission is sought. For instance, if applying for 6th standard, evaluation will consist of 5th standard CBSE concepts.


Application fees:

1. Admission kit:  Rs 500

2. Evaluation and processing fees:  Rs 500


Display of Results:

Since we have limited seats in each grade, admissions will be strictly based on evaluations.

Merit list of all the evaluations conducted in the month of January will be declared on the last day of the month and similarly merit list of all the evaluations conducted in the month of February will be declared on the last day of the month in the school.

 Parents of the selected candidates will be informed via a phone call. The dates are as follows:

Payment of Fee:

  1. Selected Students are required to pay the fee within the stipulated dates as confirmed by the admissions office, failing which the admission stands cancelled.
  2. Fee once paid will not be refunded.
  3. Admission will be confirmed on payment of fee.
Age Criteria: For admission into grade 1, the child has to be between five and half to six years old on April 1st 2012.
